Quem sou eu

Olá, meu nome é Mariana Reis. Eu sou ilustradora e artista plástica.

Nasci em 1990, na zona leste de São Paulo, capital. Estudei Artes Visuais na Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP. Estou cursando uma Pós Graduação em Ilustração Infantil Autoral.

Para mim, ilustrar é dar vida a mundos sonhados por mim e por outras pessoas.

É encantar linhas e formas para criar algo que antes não existia.

Brincando com a relação entre texto e imagem, eu não sou apegada a nenhuma técnica, gosto de diversificar e encontrar o que melhor responde a cada projeto.

Temas como diversidade, ancestralidade, representatividade e meio ambiente são grandes motores do meu trabalho como ilustradora.

No meu tempo livre você vai me encontrar com a cara enfiada em um livro ou com as mãos sujas de terra!

Hello, my name is Mariana Reis. I'm an illustrator and artist.

I was born in 1990, on the east side of São Paulo. I studied Visual Arts at USP's School of Communications and Arts. I'm currently taking a postgraduate course in Authorial Children's Illustration.

For me, illustrating is giving life to worlds dreamt up by myself and other people.

It's enchanting lines and shapes to create something that didn't exist before.

Playing with the relationship between text and image, I'm not attached to any one technique, I like to diversify and find what responds best to each project.

Themes such as diversity, ancestry, representativeness and enviroment are major driving forces behind my work as an illustrator.

In my spare time you'll find me with my face stuck in a book or my hands dirty with dirt!
